Cookie Policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember some of your choices for a period of time. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, are treated in the same way in this policy.
What the site stores without consent
Without your consent, only the following are stored. Each is strictly necessary or something you explicitly ask for:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ss-consent | Cookie (ours) | Records your cookie choice, so you are not asked on every page | 12 months |
ss-theme | Local storage (ours) | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance; created only if you change it | Until you delete it |
Neither contains anything that identifies you, and neither is sent to third parties. Before you consent, the site loads no third-party scripts or content; fonts, images and search are all served from our own server.
Optional categories (only with consent)
Analytics
Used to measure visits in aggregate: which pages are popular and where visitors come from, so that we can improve the site. The analytics script is not loaded at all unless you have consented first; until then, no request is sent to the analytics provider.
Third-party content
Content loaded from third-party providers. At present this is only the Google map on the contact page. The map loads only if you accept this category or press “Show map”; pressing the button is recorded as consent to the category. Once it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
How to change or withdraw your consent
Every page has a “Manage cookies” link in the footer. Through it you can see your current choice at any time, switch individual categories on or off, and withdraw your consent entirely. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent and applies from then on, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out. After twelve months you are asked again.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of the site’s own controls, every browser lets you delete cookies and local storage already saved, block third-party cookies, or refuse storage altogether. These options are usually found in the browser’s privacy or security settings. If you delete the ss-consent cookie, you will be asked about cookies again.
